General Information

Placing an order online is super easy. Go to my shop page and click on the item you want. Indicate the size, quantity or type, then click “Add to cart”. You can continue shopping or you can checkout with the secure payment system. Complete the shipping and contact form. Choose your payment method and click Pay. 

And voila..! Your garnish is being made.

All our jewellry is 100% handmade in South Africa. Please allow the studio a minimum of 10 working days to complete and ship your order.

If you can’t wait or if you left that special gift to the last minute, we do have a jump-the-line option available at an extra cost. Depending on items and quantities, I will fast track your order to be completed and shipped within 3-5 working days.

Garniche makes use of a hand-to-hand courier service. I ship nation wide to all main centres. Unfortunately we do not ship to Post Boxes. Garniche offers FREE shipping to all orders R500 and more. A shipping fee of R100 will be charged for orders under R500.

Items are shipped overnight to all main centres. As we all know things can occasionally go wrong, please be patient should you experience a delay. We will supply you with a tracking number as soon as your item/s are shipped.

IMPORTANT – Delivery may take longer during peak seasons or public holidays. Orders are not shipped or delivered on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.

Rings are sized from the letters A-Z. The best and #1 way to ensure that you get the correct finger size, is to visit your local jewellery store. They will be able to give you the correct measurements by measuring your finger with a ring sizer. This service is normally free of charge.

If you already have a ring that fits perfectly, you can follow the instructions below to measure your finger:
– You will need an accurate ruler for this method.
– Place the ruler on a flat surface.

– Place the ring on top and move it to measure the inside diameter.
This means that 0 will be on the middle-left inside of the ring.
– Make sure the ring is level and the measurement is in the middle.
– Follow the table below to find your correct ring size.


Do not hesitate to email me if you’re unsure.


Some websites offer printable finger charts. Even though it is a superb idea, chances are your printer will fit to page or scale the image bigger or smaller. In the world of jewellery design and manufacture, a 1mm difference can be a total disaster.

Garniche offers FREE shipping on all orders of R500 and more.

A shipping fee of R100 will be charged for orders under R500.

Garniche is an online jewelry store and ships nationwide to all main centres in South Africa. Areas covered include; Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay. An additional charge may be added to outlying areas.

All items are sent via a reputable hand-to-hand courier service overnight. Even though an overnight service may entail that the parcel will be there the next day, please allow a grace period of 1-2 working days should the courier experience delays. Parcels will not be shipped or delivered on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.

After your parcel is handed over to the courier, I will supply you with a tracking number. To track your order please click here. 

Regrettably, Garniche does not ship to Postal Boxes.

It is the responsibly of the customer to make sure that you will be available to accept the parcel. If the courier is unable to reach you or if you are unavailable, they will give you a call. A second delivery will be arranged or attempted, after which, if unsuccessful, will be returned to Garniche. I will not be liable for shipping the item/s a second time. An additional courier fee will apply. Returns or refunds will not be accepted.

If I haven’t started with your piece yet, I will gladly make changes. Extra fees may apply.
If I’ve already started, it may be impossible to change anything.

Let’s be real, we sometimes change our minds. If you decide that you want to change something, please contact me immediately via phone. 

If I haven’t started with your piece yet, I will gladly make changes at an extra fee. I will send you an invoice should extra charges apply, please deposit the amount via EFT into my bank account as per the invoice. I will only continue work after the full amount has been received.

If production has already started, it may be impossible to change anything. But feel free to contact me.

Orders from the shop can be cancelled within 3 days after purchase. A 10% deduction fee will apply to your refund. Refunds can take up to 5 days to reflect.

Custom or personalised orders cannot be cancelled.

Refunds and Returns

Garniche’s #1 goal is to delivery top quality jewellery to each and every client. Each item is handmade in the studio and is quality checked before it is shipped. In the event that something went terribly wrong, we are more than happy to give you a refund or in-store credit. The choice is yours.

Before requesting a return/ refund, please double check the below criteria:

Is the item/s damaged or broken on receipt? If you receive a severely damaged parcel, please take a picture before opening it.
Is the item/s completely different to the one you ordered? It is important to remember that each jewellery piece is manufactured by hand and will thus be unique. Items may slightly differ from photographs.
Did you order a custom or personalised jewellery piece? Custom or personalised jewellery will not be refunded. Unless damaged in transit or if the personalisation differs from what you requested. If a mistake was made on the order form Garniche will not be liable.
Did you order earrings? Unfortunately, for hygienic reasons, earrings are non-refundable.


Did your chain break? We source the finest chains from Italy. All chains are quality checked twice before shipping takes place. Care should be taken when attaching and wearing chains, especially the really fine ones. I can send you a new chain at an additional cost.

Send your refund request email to hello@garniche.co.za, clearly state the reason for your refund together with pictures. I will get back to you within 24 hours, either accepting or declining your request.
You have 10 calendar days from receipt of the item/s to request a refund and to return them.


Place all the items back into the padded envelope it was received in and seal properly before handing it over to the courier.
Lastly, send us an email with the tracking number.
Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

Love and Care for your Garniche Piece

All our items are made of 100% sterling silver, brass, copper or gold, unless clearly stated otherwise. Brass and copper do change colour over time, if you are not too keen about your unique patina, you can solve this issue by applying some Brasso Metal Polish with a soft cloth and gently rubbing it.

Sterling silver items that are frequently worn does not normally change colour. It will however tarnish if you never wear it. If you plan on storing your jewellery, place them in an airtight container. Should your sterling silver piece tarnish over time, all you have to do is take it to your local jewellery store for a quick clean and polish. This is a paid service.

Packaging and Gifts

Jewellery items come in our beautiful ECO-friendly branded jewellery boxes. Each item is then carefully wrapped and placed in our shipping agent’s courier bag. All items are hand-delivered.

We also offer a GIFT OPTION, at an additional cost. Gifts are wrapped in delicate tissue paper and tied with a ribbon. We have a wide variety of A7 Greeting Cards to choose from.

Yep, you sure can. You can add a personalised card and gift wrapping for a super low fee of only R40. This includes an in-house designed postcard of your choice, a handwritten message and last but not least, elegantly beautiful tissue paper gift wrapping and accompanied decorations.

Yes you can. Our gift vouchers range from R100 – R1000 each. Each voucher can be personalised with the recipients’ name and a short private message. Vouchers are delivered via email to the chosen recipient. To use your voucher, simply enter the voucher code before checkout.Vouchers are valid for 6 months after purchase. Dates are displayed on the voucher.
